Install options
DataFactory runs entirely inside your network. It needs no internet access to install or run, sends no telemetry and checks its licence offline.
| Option | Best for | What you install from |
|---|---|---|
| Appliance: VMware | VMware ESXi or vSphere, without building a Linux server | datafactory-<version>-release.ova |
| Appliance: Hyper-V | Hyper-V, without building a Linux server | enov8-datafactory-<version>-vmconfig-9.0-release.zip |
| Linux server | A pilot, or one team on a VM or cloud instance | The offline bundle, data-factory-<version>-linux-amd64-release.tar.gz |
| AWS (ECS Fargate) | Production on AWS, with managed PostgreSQL and Redis | The bundle's aws/ folder |
| Kubernetes and OpenShift | Your existing cluster | The bundle's kubernetes/ folder |
Every option runs the same two DataFactory images (web, and the API and workers) on x86_64, alongside PostgreSQL 18 and Redis 7. The Linux server and the appliance include PostgreSQL and Redis. On AWS and Kubernetes you can use managed ones.
